For those who are not yet completely clear, a suburb is a neighborhood that is far from the city or on the periphery of it, and which usually consists of mostly residential areas. Although its name in Spanish “suburb” sometimes brings us images of marginalized or not very attractive places, this concept has changed in the world and in Panama thanks to the development that these areas currently have in the country. Far from being a place of dubious reputation, the so-called suburbs or outskirts of cities have grown in such a way that they offer their inhabitants almost, if not all, the comforts that there are in the city, but in a much quieter environment, with less traffic and safer. This is the case of Panama Oeste, considered one of the most promising areas of the country, where a significant number of investment and construction projects are currently being carried out, including neighborhoods, shopping centers or "malls", supermarkets, roads and others.
