Pueblo Nuevo is a township in the district of Panama, located in the urban area of ​​Panama City. It borders the neighboring townships of Bella Vista, San Francisco, Parque Lefevre, Río Abajo, Bethania and the district of San Miguelito. The current township arises from the community of Pueblo Nuevo de La Sabana, made up mostly of families who arrived here from various areas of the interior of the country. It was established by Municipal Agreement No. 34 of September 9, 1895, which makes it one of the oldest townships in the city. Prominent residents of Pueblo Nuevo are or have been the writer José Luis Rodríguez Pittí and the musician Danilo Pérez and the lawyer Rosario Sarasqueta.
